LOCATION

We operate in the main public carpark of Lough Lannagh, this is the one behind Castlebar Old Cemetery. Due to Covid-19 we are now operating in a public space and for this reason we currently have no access to changing facilities. As we no longer can supply changing facilities we can also no longer supply toilets facilities so please be aware of this before leaving home. Also for these reasons you will need to accompany your child(U18) and supervise them at all times as they get ready for activities, and also again at collection time.

COVID 19 SYMPTONS

If you or any member of your household displays Covid19 or flu like symptoms you must inform us immediately and will not be permitted to attend activities. If you are unsure in any way of the condition of you /your child/ or family members health, you must stay at home, we can always reschedule you into another activity.  If any attendees displays Covid19 or flu like symptoms during a session you will be notified and all activities will cease so that HSE contact tracing can commence. This will also mean that we will cease operations until such time as it’s safe to return to activities safely.

Most common symptoms:

  • fever

  • dry cough

  • tiredness

Less common symptoms:

  •   aches and pains

  •    sore throat

  • diarrhoea

  • conjunctivitis

  • headache

  • Loss of taste or smell

  • A rash on skin, or discolouration of fingers or toes

GOVERMENT TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS

Respect the government travel restrictions

As per Covid restrictions and government and HSE guidelines on new arrivals to Ireland we will request proof of entry date to the country. This can be provided by your plane or ferry ticket with you name on it. This is to ensure new arrivals to the Rep. of Ireland have been in the country long enough to have completed  the recommended 14days isolation. The safety of our staff and customers  and keeping with government guidelines is our priority

  • Customers have a duty of care to not arrive for the scheduled activities should they or any member of their family: display signs of any symptoms noted above of COVID-19 or have been in contact with a confirmed case within 14 days leading up to the activity date. In either case they must isolate from the public and contact their GP.

  • Respect other public space users at designated meeting points by giving them 2 metres space at all times.

  • Please get changed at either own vehicles at a safe distance away from other participants and  company vehicles site location.

  •   Please don’t hang around the car park or with other members of the public.

  •   All activities must be pre booked via phone / email to ensure we can maintain new Covid 19 protocols. Please only arrive at Lough Lannagh site if you are booked in for an activity.

  • Please arrive 20 minutes before the activity time slot for sign up, collect gear, etc. to assist us with achieving C-19 protocols. Be prepared to wait in line whilst maintaining 2 metres distance from other customers.

  • If you have young children, please emphasise the importance of social distancing during activities and be prepared to assist them in the water if required. Where social distancing rules are not adhered to Mayo Adventure Experience reserves the right to cancel the activity without refund.

  • Anyone who has been outside the Republic of Ireland within the last 14days will not be permitted to attend activities

  • Anyone who has arrived in to the  Republic of Ireland within the last 14days will not be permitted to attend activities (proof of arrival in to the Rep. of Ireland may be requested)

Mayo Adventure Experience Responsibilities:

  • HSE Hygiene Posters will be put on display throughout Mayo Adventure Experience site for customers benefit.

  • All our equipment will be regularly disinfected as per HSE guidelines. 2 metres social distancing will be maintained by staff and customers at all times.

  • Activities will be operated on a maximum of 8 students to 1 instructor as per NGB guidelines and school standards.

  • Mayo Adventure Experience staff will disinfect hands/ wear disposable gloves / wear heavy duty gloves that will be dipped in disinfectant bucket between every equipment transaction with customers.

  • Make sure lessons are set up in a safe area of the lake where there is enough space to comply with 2 metre social distancing. Be aware of other water crafts and users.

  • Instructors will lead all students back in a clear and safe path to the site while ensuring social distancing amongst the groups from members of the public.

  • Additional PPE, Gloves, facemasks and BVM with viral filters have been added to First Aid Kit.
