Mayo to Peru

Mayo to Peru was inspired by the men of the Inca Trail and is dedicated to all those who have worked the trail and continue to make it the experience of a life-time for so many.

The World Famous Machu Picchu is visited by a million tourists annually. It is even more famous for the marathon 26mile hike across the Andes Mountains from Kilometre 82 to this City of the Inca, known as the Inca Trial. This is my incredible story of how an Irish tourist became a ‘Porter’ on the world’s most famous tourist trail. I also became the first non-Peruvian to walk the trail as a worker. See what it takes to live the life of a porter on this sky-high trail and join myself and camera man Olly Pemberton, for a discussion about his experience as both a tourist and then a porter.
